Efficiency and safety for all types of loading and unloading
More than half of ITRALIA’s trucks are equipped with moving floors. This type of trailer offers an ideal transport solution for various different sectors. For example, for farming (the bulk transport of feed and cereals, etc.) the metal industry (the transportation of rolls, tubes, coil, …) and the industrial sector (the transportation of all types of pallets, bags, etc.)
The main advantage offered is the possibility of loading and unloading products in a way which is controlled, measured and fast and with the maximum safety.
Types of trucks equipped with moving floors:
Curtain side trailers
Low bed trailers
General characteristics of ITRALIA’s moving floor truck fleet:
Maximum load: 27,000 kg
Width: 2.48 m
Height: 2.65 m
Length: 13.62 m
Total number of units: 49 trucks
This type of truck is appropriate for bulk transport.
How does the moving floor system work?
There are a number of longitudinal aluminium bars, or slats, on the trailer floor which have hydraulic triggers. Each bar slides under the load in three stages, with all the bars moving in the same direction. All the bars are then moved again, but with the load now moving in the opposite direction. The process then starts again, to make the product move forwards. This up and down movement of the floor bars is used to move the product forwards and backwards.
